Formed Liverpool in 1984 and comprising main songwriter Henry Priestman and brothers Roger, Russell and Garry Christian who had, until then, performed as a soul a cappella trio most notably in 1974 on - younger readers look away now - Opportunity Knocks. An elegant pop feel and Garry Christian's gorgeous soul vocals earned a string of UK hits including Forgotten Town, Hooverville (They Promised Us The World), When The Fingers Point, Ideal World and Harvest For The World. Later in '89, the Top 20 beckoned once more with Words and the accompanying album went straight to No 1. Were they really "The Temptations in ripped jeans" or merely one of the UK's top soul acts producing a string of memorable hits and selling millions of records. We're happy to bring back one of ‘Pool's best for the first time in York for nearly ten years. Welcome!

Please note you must be 14 or over to gain admittance - read our ID policy.
