The Hive (based in MCE at Nether Poppleton) is York's brightest, biggest and best-equipped recording studio and media centre, with high-end professional stuff and top Pro Tools kit and, like, everything!

And this one heckuva line up for a midweek Tuesday ... come on and give your favourite band some support!

So ... tonight's show is to find the band most worthy of two days recording and two days mastering (no traipsing off to Leeds or anything) with top engineer John Greatwood AS WELL AS a video shoot and edit of your, frankly wonderful, band performing live AND an interview and performance on Minster FM, the North's most wonderful in every sense independent station, AND (draws breath) some great kit from Gear4Music AND AND AND (there's more!) a festival slot! Which doesn't mean on the back of a truck in Farmer Giles' field, it means on a decent stage with a decent PA and a bit of audience for a change. Now how good is that? Yeah yeah yeah, we know ... pretty damn good.
