"I'm never going to write a moronic 3-minute song with the same lyric over and over", says Liam Frost. Spoken like a true songwriter. And three years after debut 'Show Me How the Spectres Dance', his latest album "We Ain't Got No Money, Honey, But We Got Rain" is different again, this time dominated by optimistic love songs, collaborations with Ed Harcourt and a duet with the wonderful Martha Wainwright. "The last album had so many bleak moments. I'm only 25 and I wanted to make a fun record before I hit 30", says Liam, "Then I can do all that maudlin stuff and turn into Leonard Cohen!" He's only ever wanted to be a great songwriter and musician. Succeeded on both counts.
