There are few better sights in rock 'n' roll than Wilko Johnson, bug-eyed, skittling back on forth across a stage, coily lead stretched to the max. Now restricting shows to select venues, and cutting down on what has been a hectic schedule for years, please welcome back to York the godfather of punk and co-founder of Dr Feelgood who stormed out of Canvey Island in the 70s with a unique brand of stripped-down r'n'b, high-energy stage shows and four classic albums. Wilks is joined by bass legend Norman Watt-Roy and Dylan Howe, current Blockheads percussion monster and son of Yes legend Steve Howe.  No intros needed for a Brit rock'n'roll and rhythm'n'blues guitar legend up there with Peter Green and Mick Green (no relation) for all to see, still doing the business live. Ah-one. Ah-two. Ah-one two three four!!

Please note you must be 14 or over to gain admittance - read our ID policy.

I did take some photos of what was a fantastic gig by Wilko and the lads. Unfortunately I lost my camera backstage (or somewhere in the vicinity). It's a Fuji Finepix in a black leather pouch if anyone's seen it PLEASE let me know :)

Why not book The Blockheads as well? They would go down a storm
