Blue-eyed soul and hard-rocking, horn-driven R&B are the order of the day for the New Jersey band, formed ‘74 by Johnny Lyon and Miami Steve Van Zandt. Fusing soulful rock 'n' roll with lean southern-style Stax, Memphis and Phil Spector sounds; cue classic Springsteen-esque rock'n'roll and burnin' rhythm and blues! And still maintaining the brutal touring and recording cycle of dedicated lifers, more than 25 years after their inception; this is one helluva sizzling gig!
