Sometimes all you wanna do is have fun.  Have a party.  Dan Whiting is a fair example of that genre, and, when not drumming for some the area's best bands, he can be seen dancing like a lunatic, his movements all the more unmeasured when lubricated by the golden liquor and love of a good time.  And so on the occasion of Mr Dan's birthday, what better way to celebrate than with a huge slice of cheese, bigger than any cracker could accomodate, namely 80s party band Rubix Cube.  Commonly to be seen around the North of England banging out Video Killed The Radio Star, Just Can't Get Enough and You Spin Me Round taking partygoers back to the days of Nintendo, DeLorean, Roland Rat and Wham.  It was also the decade of Chernobyl, the sinking of the Belgrano and MC Hammer.  All similar disasters.  So come and have a proper 80s night, lots of great tunes and a great band.  And a great party ...

I've seen Kelly & The Kellygirls a couple of times now and I must say it's hard to find a live act that so effortlessly couples great song writing, amazing musicianship and pure hedonistic fun with an energy from Kelly that would have the national grid taking notice. I can't wait for their UK Summer tour.
