How refreshing to see an emerging and powerful generation of York bands that aren't Monkeys/Babyshambles copyists but have looked much further back for their roots.  BIg riffs, blues signatures, songs about drinking and women called JoJo, proper long guitar solos and ... big hair.  No "woke up this morning without my mean mean woman on the highway / in an empty bed / in jail" (delete as necessary) just a band that fits perfectly amongst the top exponents of this "new" movement and thankfully a stack (no pun intended) of folks are coming along for the ride.  On the back of Guitar Hero and the current decline of landfill indie and emo, classic rock and riffs are suddenly becoming fashionable again - expect a busy night!
