Formed in Cumbria 1982, but rarely fashionable due to being too rock for the pop crowd, and vice versa! This didn't stop them filling huge venues and through sheer instrumental virtuosity, blistering live shows, a compelling song-driven mix of prog, pop, hard rock and metal they remain a force to be reckoned with even today and with a (perfect) replacement frontman in John Mitchell. From the contemporary pop/funk of Big Lad In The Windmill through Once Around The World's 70s prog, to the intricate hard rock and metal of the Eat Me In St Louis, this is a connoisseur's band. A band for devotees of musical excellence, eschewing the 3 minute pop song but still keeping melody and wit alive even in grand opuses like Still Too Young To Remember and Underneath Your Pillow.
