They know him as Harpic and what he can't do with an acoustic guitar isn't worth knowing. A man who's been a cross between Jeff Buckley and Hendrix long before the current crop of McRae / Fretwell at al. Nick's cracked timbre voice jumps from a screeching yell to a soothing croon to a shrill falsetto and all the time injecting moments of self parody whether turning Elvis' "Guitar Man" into a gung-ho Zeppelin bonanza or bullying Monty Python's "Galaxy Song" into a snatch of inspired wry wit ... he even takes on Public Enemy (yes, on an acoustic guitar). A truly revolutionary and creative player/songwriter, an alchemist.
