At last, an event to rival Whitby and, quite frankly, we think it's a worthy competitor.
Historic location. Check. The largest gothic cathedral in Northern Europe. Check. Great venues and bands. Check. Lots of other stuff to do. Check. Fishing village. Er ... maybe not.
DV8, organised by Chris Sherrington, runs July 15 - 18 and includes over thirty bands, burlesque dancers and sideshow performers over three stages at night and, during the day, alternative markets at the historic Barley Hall amongst others. There's also discounts to be had at attractions like York Dungeons!
The Duchess Goth Stage includes Wayne Hussey, The Eden House, Gene Loves Jezebel, Inkubus Sukkubus and Romance whilst elsewhere, on the Rockabilly Punk Stage, you can catch Devilish Presley; or Modulate and Deviant UK at the Industrial/EBM Stage.
