I can't get no sleep - where to stay in York
Mon 16 Jun
Planning your weekend around a gig at The Duchess?
Treating your better half or just tipping up with a few mates?
The nearest B&Bs to us are The Black Swan, Peaseholme Green (200 yds further down the road with large car park) and The Golden Fleece, Pavement (opposite Marks & Sparks). Both are friendly, clean and come complete with real ale, ghosts, weird-shaped rooms designed by medaieval drunks and floors that defy gravity.
Travelodge, Quality Inn (now renamed '53) and Novotel (big car park overground) are all just ten minutes away. The first two are on Piccadilly and the latter tucked away off Fishergate. If you stay at The Novotel, be sure to feed yourself at The Mason's Arms a short walk down the street. We do all the time ...
York Tourist Information has a comprehensive database of places to rest your weary head and you can get them on 01904 550099 or email or use this form. Once again, they're dead helpful too and, if you're on foot, head for St Leonard's Crescent by Petergate Bar. That's "Bar" as in gate to the city, by the way.
We think that's everything covered, but if you reckon we can help you any further drop us a mail or call 01904 641413.
